Firmly entrenched in the rich history of rural Scott County, the North Scott School District consists of schools located in five communities. The North Scott "family" includes: 3136 students, 208 teachers, 12 administrators and a support staff of 125+. The district's administration center, high school and junior high, along with one elementary school, are located in Eldridge. Additionally, four elementary schools in the outlying towns of Donahue, Long Grove, Park View and Princeton complete North Scott District. North Scott's student-teacher ratio of 15.4 is among the lowest of area public schools.

The North Scott Community School District is a recognized leader in educational excellence. Students, teachers and administrators continually receive state and national honors. Scores on standard achievement tests are consistently well above average. North Scott students also excel in extra-curricular activities, from speech and drama to music and athletics.
